Press Up + start on Kitana (For Player One)
Press Up + start on Scorpion (For Player Two)

Hidden Arena
Scislac Busirez (Ermac's Portal or The Lost World): Unlock all the three
secret characters and each time you start a game you will first play on
this arena instead of Scorpion's Lair, which will be the second one.

--Play on MK3 arenas--
Start a tower ladder and play thru all the UMK3 exclusive arenas twice.
Make sure not to uppercut your opponent through the ceiling on Scorpion's Lair
and into Kahn's cave as this will lock you into the UMK3 arenas.
The MK3 arenas should start cycling in at this point.
Note that The Bank arena has been completely removed from the game.
This was an intentional design to bring the new UMK3 stages to the forefront
however the unbreakable loop with the stage transition in Scorpion's Lair was not.
This was a coding oversight that Boon has regreted in retrosepct.

--Method 2--
Beat the game on any level (master, novice or champion etc.).
Then choose to fight Ermac or Noob Saibot. Win the first round
and on the second make it so you are with more energy than your enemy.
Then use the mirror system (when cpu imitates your motions) to beat
your opponent from time. After that you'll be transported to
"Choose your Destiny" screen. Select any tower and play on a MK3 arenas.


Play as Noob Saibot (UMK3 WaveNet machine only)
This can only be enabled on WaveNet machines. Play against a
human opponent. Select Kano then hold Back + LP + LK + HP + BL
until the match begins.

Play as human Smoke
Choose cyber Smoke and push and hold Back + HP + HK + BL + Run.
At the beginning of the round you will see an explosion that will reveal
human ninja Smoke. You can also perform this code in between rounds and
play as cyber smoke in round 1 and human Smoke in round 2.

"Frosty!"
Choose Sub-Zero (Classic or New). Wait until your opponent reaches danger.
Freeze Him. Dan Forden pops out and says "Frosty!" instead of "Toasty!".

"Crispy!"
Right after you did the Pit fatality in Scorpion's Lair, hold HP on both sides
of the Control Panel. You should see Dan Forden pops out and says "Crispy!".
Hold Run on both sides and hear Shao Kahn say "Crispy!" Hold both to hear both!

Hidden Message At The End
At the end of the credits, the following message is displayed: KVOOONNMMIIGCS.
In this message is the following text encrypted: MKIV KOMING SOON.


Shao Kahn's Lost Treasures

After you beat Shao Kahn or win in Tournament mode, you can open one
of Shao Kahn's secret treasures. The number of the treasures depends
on the difficulty level you have chosen:

Novice: 1-4 symbols
Warrior: 1-6 symbols
Master: 1-8 symbols
Double Master: all symbols



The key to Shao Kahn's Treasures:

1 - Tournament Outcome
2 - Play Galaga
3 - Fight Ermac
4 - Fight Noob Saibot
5 - Random Select
6 - Fatality Demonstration #1
7 - Fatality Demonstration #2
8 - Fatality Demonstration #3
9 - Fight Noob Saibot and Ermac
10 - Fight Classic Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot
11 - Fight Noob Saibot, Human Smoke, Classic Sub-Zero, Ermac, and Mileena

Kombat Kodes

On the VS screen (in 2 player mode), there is input for a 6 button code.
The Low Punch, Block, and Low Kick buttons on the player 1 and 2 control
deck corresponds to a box. Using the key below cycle through each box the
amount of times indicated to activate the kode.

NOTE that you can reverse cycle through the codes by holding the joystick up
and pressing the buttons. For example: Box 1 calls for Low Punch 9 times.
To get there just hold the P1 Joystick up and press LP once.
